Jan Carpenter has two decades of public and private sector experience across a range of adult social care fields, within community, hospitals and residential settings. Jan is a qualified Advanced level Social Worker with supervisory-managerial and quality assurance experience, complemented by coaching and training skills and user feedback/quality audits. Committed to personal and professional development, improving workplace performance and quality of service user experience and outcomes.

This course aims to provide you with an overview of the Care Act 2014 as well as any national policies that inform practice in adult social care. Upon doing this course we will go through some of the key changes in the legislation following the Coronavirus  Act 2020, providing you with an understanding of the principles of adult safeguarding.
