Yvonne has worked in the social care field since 1985 and since that time has worked across a wide range of adult and child services, including Child protection, court work, Support for people with learning disabilities, and coordinating regional support services for a national health charity.
Having worked in social care for this length of time, has allowed Yvonne to experience a range of working environments – NHS, local authority, private and charitable sector. This has allowed her to view social work “with a wider lens” having experienced the joys and pitfalls of working in both specialist and multi skilled teams. She currently provides specialist safeguarding support and training within an NHS trust.
